Derrycamma Farm
Located just outside Castlebellingham on Co. Louth we grow wheat , barley , oats and oilseed rape using eco till techniques. By avoiding annual ploughing, we try to increase the fertility of our land using minimum till techniques and hence cut down on the amount of artificial fertiliser used.
Our wheat ,barley and oats are sold to local merchants for animal feeds in Ireland. After we harvest our own oilseed rape we press it , filter it and then bottle it as a healthy alternative to olive oil.
We also have a flock of free range hens. Our definition of free range , the hens roam outside all day , everyday. They are fed rolled wheat which we grow on farm. We sell off some of our POL (point of Lay) pullets every year. So why not check our range of hen houses and you too could have your own supply of free range eggs everyday.
